This week on Weird and Wacky Wednesday we begin in Albany where hundreds of cockroaches were released into a courtroom, then there was a woman who was arrested for swimming from Bangladesh to India, and finally, a Houston man was arrested after he rapped about robbing an ATM because it turns out that was something he actually did.

Follow the jump and learn more about this week’s weirdest and wackiest legal cases from around the globe!

No bugs in the courtroom

There is usually a certain understanding of what can and what can’t be brought into a courtroom on any given day, and one would think it should go without saying that cockroaches are one of the things on the do not bring in list.

However, someone managed to sneak hundreds of them into a courtroom in Albany, New York, and release them, resulting in the whole courthouse needing to be shut down for fumigation.

It happened after an altercation where a defendant in the courtroom started filming and was asked to not do that. This resulted in an altercation where the cockroaches were released.

All I know is that now I have a new fear; a potential bug outbreak in the courtroom!

I will do anything for love

Now, this next story is a case of someone doing and risking everything for the person they love!

A 22-year-old Bangladeshi woman was arrested after swimming from Bangladesh to India to marry her boyfriend. She decided to swim because she didn’t have a passport, however, she was arrested for entering the country illegally.

The even crazier part of the story is that the couple had never actually met in person, and the way they had met was through Facebook.

Rapping Robberies

Now if I was ever to commit a crime, I’d for sure be keeping it on the down-low and avoid talking to anyone about what happened, let alone advertise it on a very public platform.

But that’s just me, and apparently, a popular YouTube rapper does not share the same mindset.

He was arrested for allegedly robbing an ATM technician, which was something he just so happens to rap about in one of his songs.

Maybe this will be a lesson to people that if they commit a crime, they should probably keep it to themselves. Or maybe this will be new tactic police can use while trying to solve crimes. I guess time will tell!
