Roofing Scammers Nailed by Toronto Police

Toronto police made a bust on a roofing scam artist who swindled almost $10,000 from a trusting homeowner. The man allegedly pretended to be a roofer and offered to inspect the roof for damages, but then provided a quote for $18,500.

The homeowner, unfortunately, fell for it and gave the scammer a $9,000 deposit, only for the scammer to disappear with the money. The homeowner got suspicious the next day when the scammer asked for an additional $3,000 for supplies, so they called the police.

Luckily, the police caught the perpetrator, an 18-year-old who has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and mischief over $5,000. It’s a good thing the homeowner called the cops; otherwise, they’d be out $10,000 and have a leaky roof.

Breaking and Cleaning

In a strange turn of events, a man has been caught red-handed doing some DIY housekeeping after allegedly breaking into a home. The homeowner found the man sweeping up broken glass in her kitchen – talk about breaking and cleaning!

When police arrived, they found the man at the back of the house next to a window that he had apparently broken to get in. But despite being told to stop, the man just couldn’t resist the temptation to clean up his mess, and he re-entered the house through the back door. The man claimed that he was just released from the hospital and was looking for a place to crash.

Looks like he swept up the wrong house! He was charged with felony aggravated burglary, and it’s safe to say he won’t be sweeping into any more homes anytime soon.

We don’t have to share everything

A Miami woman had quite the ordeal when she returned home to discover her vibrator had gone missing! After searching high and low, she checked her roommate’s bedside drawer, and there it was!

When she confronted her roommate, she gaslit her and blamed it on some “guests.” She decided to Google her roommate and discovered she had quite the rap sheet. So, she called the police to watch over her while she moved out.

Her roommate said that the girl was framing her so she could break the lease. That’s an insane way to break a lease, geez.
