Even in Wartime, You Still Can’t Speed

A man in Florida has come up with a really lame excuse to try to get out of a speeding ticket: Putin is about to launch a nuclear war against the world. Of course, this does not justify speeding. Although if there was an actual nuclear explosion a person would probably have a defence of necessity.

Apparently, this was not the first but the fourth or fifth excuse the driver tried in attempting to avoid responsibility for the ticket.

Police Drug Testing

While it is true that if the police get a hold of your drugs, they will likely test them to see what they are, they do not offer this as a public service.

That, however, did not stop a man in Florida from calling the local police station to ask if they could help. Apparently, he was concerned that the methamphetamine he had purchased was actually bath salts. He asked for a sheriff’s deputy to attend his residence and test the drugs.

Inviting the police into his residence without making them get a warrant was probably his second mistake. And then he handed over two baggies of crystal-like substances to the police.

No word yet on whether police have actually tested the drugs.

In a Pickle

An Ohio man was recently arrested for having a large number of drugs in his car. That wasn’t really the funny part, though, as that’s pretty par for the course. What was hilarious in this case was the fact that in addition to being in possession of a large quantity of cannabis, cash, a few
sheets of a waxy substance… he also had an individually wrapped dill pickle.

When the police posted the photo of their bust, they included the pickle on the hood of the cop car. I’m not sure transporting a pickle is unlawful but if it is, I’m in big trouble.
