This week on Weird and Wacky Wednesdays, we start in Ontario where an 11-year-old was caught, not only driving a car but also speeding in it on the wrong side of the road! Then we move to Florida where four men decided to do something about the rising gas prices and a woman is in jail for shooting her neighbour…with a water gun!

Riding in cars with kids
Earlier this week, in a town just outside of Toronto, police pulled a car over after it sped by them at 150 km/h. Imagine their surprise when the driver turned out to be an 11-year-old boy, and if that isn’t bad enough, his passenger was only 12!
After the car sped by police they began to follow after it with their sirens on. As they were following the car, the driver seemed to have lost control and ended up smashing through fences and driving through backyards.
When other police joined the chase, they were able to trap the car and force it to stop. Luckily no one was hurt during the encounter.
Maybe it’s not such a bad idea to raise the driving age to 18 after all.
These rising gas prices make way for crime
I think we can all agree the rising gas prices are frustrating, but who would’ve thought there was actually a way to manipulate the system and stop that from happening.
Four men in Florida have been arrested for installing ‘pulsators’ inside gas pumps that drop gas prices significantly. Apparently, they were able to fill up their tanks for next to nothing!
They were able to pull this off at two different gas stations, before being caught by the police. The president of the Florida Department of Agriculture called the groups of people who do these criminal rings, and they fill up their tanks at the cheapened price and then resell it for a lot more money than they got it for.
They expect these crimes to continue to become more common as gas prices continue to rise, which will ultimately screw the gas station owners, as well as regular people stopping for gas.
Rule Number 1: Don’t shoot neighbour with a water gun
Who would have thought shooting someone with a water gun could result in an arrest?
Well, that’s exactly what happened to a woman in Florida, who shot her neighbour who was walking by in front of her trailer, in the face with a water gun.
Her neighbour was not on her property or anything according to the report, but the woman still came from inside her trailer to stand on the porch and squirt her in the face, the reason being she didn’t like that the woman was walking on her street.
The neighbour was not injured in the shooting; however, the woman was arrested for misdemeanour battery. Imagine having to explain to someone this was the reason you were arrested.
