This week on Weird and Wacky Wednesday a Florida family got into a physical fight over Chinese food, the COO of the Beyond Meat company got into an interesting fight and a stolen car ended up in a messy situation.
Follow the jump and learn more about this week’s weirdest and wackiest cases from around the globe.
How dare you touch my noodles!
A father and daughter in Florida were arrested for a misdemeanour battery after they beat up their son/brother over a Chinese food mix-up.
After noticing that the Chinese food they had ordered for dinner wasn’t labelled, the man began to get upset over not knowing which container his food was in. It turned out that his son had accidentally eaten his father’s food, which resulted in his sister beginning to punch him in the face.
His father, angered by the fact his food had been eaten, joined his daughter in her assault by putting his son in a chokehold. They only stopped once the man’s wife entered the room and called 911. When the police arrived they noted the red marks around the younger man’s neck and bruising around his eyes.
I understand the annoyance you might have with someone if they’ve eaten your food, but to go and physically assault them? That’s some next-level food defending!
Is meat back on the menu?
Next up this week is definitely a very weird and very wacky case, where the chief operating officer of the Beyond Meat company was arrested after getting into an altercation with another man.
Apparently, while he was leaving a college football game earlier this week, the COO’s car was hit by another car, and in a fit of rage, the man exited his own car, broke the back window of the car that hit him and then began to beat the owner of the other vehicle when the other man got out to confront him.
What makes this story weird though is the fact that the Beyond Meat COO has been accused of biting the other man’s nose, and, in fact, so hard it actually drew blood. He was also heard threatening to kill the other man too.
The Beyond Meat company has since suspended him indefinitely. That’s probably the best thing to do at this point, I mean talk about bad publicity!
How NOT to steal a car 101
In general, when driving a car, you should always be aware of your surroundings to keep yourself along with other people around you safe. When you’re driving a stolen car, you’d think you would be on extra high alert and paying significantly more attention.
Well, that didn’t seem to be the case for a driver in Seattle who drove right through a barricade and directly into wet cement in a car that was in fact stolen.
Now obviously the car was stuck and not going anywhere, but that didn’t stop the driver’s attempted escape plan on foot which included a child in one arm and a bottle of whiskey in the other.
Needless to say, the attempted escape didn’t work, and the driver was followed by a city inspector who also called 911, and the driver was eventually arrested by police.
