British Columbia has abruptly reversed course on its landmark experiment decriminalizing the possession of certain illicit drugs, citing mounting public frustration and “disorder” in the Canadian province.
“…it’s probably going to undo the anticipated impacts of decriminalization. The whole point of this was to stop the significant number of deaths, to reduce the stigma around drug use and to reduce the risks associated with drug use as far as being arrested.”
