Burrito>Quesadilla
Last week in Mississippi, what started as a regular traffic violation stop, quickly escalated when officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle they had pulled over.
Inside they found, distributable amounts of methamphetamine and liquid heroin. Now, I don’t know about you, but I think they hit the jackpot with this one. But wait, there’s more!
As if that wasn’t enough, one of the detectives discovered something interesting in a Taco Bell bag in the car– a gun inside a folded quesadilla. Who in their right mind thinks to hide a gun inside their fast-food order during a traffic stop? The man is facing a whole bunch of charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.
The moral of the story is if you’re thinking of pulling a similar stunt, at least consider hiding the gun in a burrito.
The journey home
The Roman bust of Nero Claudius Drusus Germanicus that made headlines last year after it was discovered at a Texas Goodwill store for a mere $35 will soon be returned to Germany after its display run at the San Antonio Museum of Art.
It’s not entirely clear how the bust ended up in a Texas thrift store, but apparently, it has a Regal past with ties to Ludwig I. And get this, the statue may have been stolen after Allied forces bombed Aschaffenburg in January 1944. Talk about a journey across the seas and through time!
Visitors can still catch a glimpse of the historic marble statue until May 21 and don’t worry, you won’t have to shell out a king’s ransom to see it.
Hey, how’d you get in here?
A tiny tot recently made headlines as one of the tiniest White House intruders after squeezing through the metal fencing on the north side of the executive mansion. Yup, you read that right – this curious toddler found a way to get past the security measures and onto White House grounds.
Of course, the U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers quickly sprang into action, to retrieve the little guy and reunite him with his parents. Access to the complex was briefly restricted while officers conducted the reunification.
Now, this may be the first successful intrusion onto the complex in recent years but come on, who can resist the allure of exploring the most famous house in America, especially when you’re just a tiny human?
