The money said it was mine

Another day, another weird excuse someone has come up with for committing a crime. In this case, a woman who stole a wallet from a fast-food restaurant said she did it because the money was calling to her.

This happened at a Waffle House in Florida, where another restaurant customer left their wallet on the counter, which contained just over $2000.00 in cash. The woman noticed the wallet there while she was picking up food with her husband and son and sneakily slipped the wallet off the counter under her hat.

Not a bad, sneaky plan, but unfortunately for the woman, security cameras caught the whole thing. And then, later on, when questioned by police, she dropped the line that the money was calling to her. She has been arrested for a felony grand theft charge.

Use your Bluetooth wisely

Connecting your phone to the Bluetooth in your car in order to play music while driving has become second nature for most people.

But if you were thinking of connecting to the Bluetooth of a car you just stole, maybe think again. Police were able to figure out who was responsible for stealing a woman’s car in a town in Pennsylvania because the thief connected his phone to the car.

The man’s name came up in the car, and police said that along with surveillance footage from a bus the man was on helped them figure out who he was. I guess this was a lesson to him that if he’s going to steal cars, what music is playing doesn’t really matter.

Why did the wheels stop turning?

With airport security constantly at the top of its game, people attempting to smuggle things past them have had to get more creative in their methods. A woman from Punta Cana tried a new way to sneak half a million dollars worth of cocaine through JFK airport security through the tires of her wheelchair.

She probably would have gotten away with it too, but her tires stopped spinning properly which was suspicious to airport security. As a result of these suspicions, security x-rayed her chair and low and behold, the cocaine was in the wheels.

She was obviously arrested and faces federal narcotics smuggling charges.
