On the Coast’s Soapbox Social panelists Mo Amir and Kyla Lee weigh in with Gloria Macarenko on the fallout surrounding Prime Minister Mark Carney’s pipeline agreement with Alberta — now that federal cabinet minister Steven Guilbeault has resigned over environmental issues, concerns about building a new pipeline and lifting the tanker ban on B.C.’s north coast.
“I think it’s going to cost the Liberals a lot of support in British Columbia. We’ve seen this under the Trudeau Liberals – a great relationship between the BC NDP government and the Federal Liberal government – and that’s pretty much crumbling. I think it’s going to have some intended and unintended consequences on both sides and that the Federal Liberals are going to lose the support from the BC NDP supporters. That might become an issue come the next election.”
