“It’s not going to change much. It’s not going to make any difference. This is exactly what Trudeau did when people were calling for this when he was the leader… It didn’t change anything as far as the public perception is concerned. Judges are still going to continue to release people because it is your constitutional right to be released. There are only so many reverse onuses they can actually put into place before the Supreme Court of Canada is just going to get in there, striking them down, restoring things to the status quo.”
